The Columbus Carriage Festival is an American Driving Society recognized pleasure driving competition. Equines and their drivers compete for ribbons and prizes in a variety of classes defined by the ADS Rule Book.
Each group, or division, of entries competes in 6 different classes in order to qualify for the division championship. Divisions are based on either the size or experience of the horse, the skill of the driver or the type of vehicle they are driving.
The six classes are designed to test the horse’s athletic ability and trainability or the driver’s skill and style.
